Frequently asked questions
Are your patterns beginner-friendly?
Yes! I intentionally offer patterns that anyone can enjoy, no matter where in your cross stitch journey you are. The easiest patterns are in the Beginners section, and if you're feeling ambitious, check out the Advanced patterns! I only use one stitch type in all my patterns, so technically, a beginner could complete an advanced pattern.
What materials do I need?
I outline all of the details for materials in my tutorials. Check out the Tutorials page in the links at the top or bottom of the page, or just click on the link here.
Do I need special software to use your patterns?
No. My patterns are in pdf form, so you should be able to view them on any device and print them out. There are apps like Stitchly or Markup R-XP that you can use to mark off stitches in a pdf cross stitch pattern, which I prefer to do, but that's not required.
Do you offer physical kits?
I don't currently offer physical kits. When you buy from my shop, you'll receive the pattern and floss list in digital format, which you can either use digitally (as mentioned above) or print off at home.
Can I wash my cross stitch projects?
Yes! The trick is to make sure you've used colorfast threads so your colors don’t run (DMC and Anchor threads are usually colorfast). I'd also recommend securing your threads on the back so they don’t fray. If you haven't used colorfast threads, I wouldn't risk washing your project.
